J. Malcolm Electric was founded to bring old-school craftsmanship and modern expertise together. Jon Malcolm, owner and lead electrician, started this company after years of honing his skills across Massachusetts homes – from historic brownstones in Boston to multi-million dollar custom homes in Lee, and everything in between. The mission is simple: deliver safe, reliable electrical solutions with honesty and a personal touch. We treat every project as an opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients.

Jon Malcolm – Owner, Electrician, Hot Dog enthusiast: Jon is a fully licensed electrician in Massachusetts on the path to achieving Master status. He apprenticed under veteran electricians and has experience with every aspect of residential electrical work. Jon takes pride in doing the job right – no shortcuts – and loves educating homeowners about their electrical systems. When he’s not wiring a new addition or troubleshooting a tricky circuit, you might find him coaching lacrosse, hiking with his dog, or exploring the latest smart home gadgets to bring to his clients. 

Born and raised in Holliston, MA currently based in Framingham, MA. Jon is about as local an electrician as you can get.  Local means faster response times and a keen understanding of the specific electrical needs (and even quirks) of homes in this region – whether it’s upgrading an old 60-amp service in a historic home or adding smart lighting to a new suburban house.
